Arenaria montana, also known as Mountain Sandwort (Arenaria montana) is a low growing evergreen perennial that features dense grey green leaves and glorious white flowers over a long period of time. Cascading gently along the ground or over a wall, Arenaria will form a dense mat, making an excellent rockery or pot plant as the flowers completely cover the foliage when they are in full bloom.
Drought tolerant once established but does best with regular watering during dry spells, Arenaria prefers a well drained soil and performs best in a full sun to lightly shaded position. Frost hardy once established.
